SJOVT!

Yesterday was such a sjovt, fun, day! We had quite an excellent time exploring legoland and pretending we were children again.

The day was full of fun, but the most interesting/fun/exciting moment had to be on the log flume. Well...Kayla, Brittany, Allyson, and I (the four MC girls in the Child Development class) decided that this looked like a great first ride! It was really cool because it was a lot like Splash Mountain at Disney World with the natural surroundings and the view of many parts of legoland, except that all the scenery and animals were made of Legos. Anyway, things were going quite gingerly until suddenly we realized that the boat in front of us didn't make it up one of the ramps. So, we bumped into that boat. Then about 30 seconds later, another boat met up with us and bumped from behind. Well, finally, when about 6 or 7 boats had piled up, the Legoland workers finally realized that there were some boats missing. Now, we have to keep in mind here that the Danes are extremely laid back people, and the workers were kind of escorting us onto boats and rides, but a lot of it was just us guiding ourselves. There were empty seats all over the place, but no one seemed to mind. Talk about a bit of difference from the states! So anyway, we heard someone come over the speakers and brittany picked out their saying "technical problems" in danish. So this little, blonde, twenty-something worker comes up to where we are on the ride and tries pushing us back into alignment. In the meantime everyone is giggling and jabbering on in Danish, while we up-tight American girls are freaking out, as you can imagine. Nonetheless, with the help of a few more adult male workers, everything was going again. We made it down to the bottom successfully and moved on to the next ride. It was pretty fun, and certainly cultural, experience! Our faces in the picture at the end were pretty priceless considering all the turmoil we had just undergone.

So the rest of the day was full of fun and laughs! Here are some fun lego-pictures :)
